Challenging poster & title design for a movie about someones will to terminate his life.

This movie is about forty-two-year-old Rick that after a long and torturous psychiatric history, his date is finally set for the much desired humane termination of the life. Will his parents be able to let him go out of their love for him?

I have created multiple interesting concept options for this movie. After a long journey working on two other designs, we ended up to continue with one of the first sketches due to distributors interest. I am okay with the result within the given amount of time before distribution but I think in an ideal world I would have speeded more time to make this concept better and more interesting. To me this lacks a bit of power and uniqueness but I also heard good reviews from the actual audience saying it gives a bit of ‘Alex van Warmerdam-vibe’ which is procieved positively.
